Multicultural Youth Festival: April 23
Riverside, Ca- The Riverside Youth Council proudly invites you to the City of Riverside's 2nd Annual Multicultural
Youth Festival, "How Big is YOUR World?" The festivities will take place on Sunday, April 23, 2006, on the Main Street pedestrian
mall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and activities are free!
Three main stage areas will feature entertainment, such as traditional dance performances like Irish River Dance, Brazilian Capoeria,
a special appearance by award-winning Latino recording artist Diego Diego, African cultural drummers, and Native American music.
Visitors can collect “Country Cards” from each booth containing facts about individual countries, and later test their knowledge
about these countries during all-day trivia contests at each stage. The Festival will feature 105 country booths and 10 special
event booths!
Other activities and attractions include:

10 award-winning student films, each promoting diversity in content and creativity, at the theatre of the UCR California Museum
of Photography, 3824 Main St., on the Pedestrian Mall.

The “One World…Many Hands…Holding Our Future” festival banner -- to which festival
ngoers are encouraged to add their
handprints -- will be displayed on the outside of Riverside City Hall following the Festival.

Free “One world…imagine the possibilities” custom-made dog tags.

Artwork displays from Riverside and Alvord School District students.

Ethnic food court.

Passport contest -- winner to be awarded a weekend trip for two to any city in the United States, including airfare
and hotel (sponsored by Southwest Airlines and the Marriott Hotel.)
