Police Investigate Suspicious Package
Riverside, Ca- On Thursday, January 12, 2006 at
6:30 AM, the Riverside Police Department received a call regarding a suspicious
package found outside the Riverside County Administrative Center, 4080 Lemon
Street.
Officers from the Riverside Police Department responded and located the package
in a public area between the County Administrative Center and the parking
garage. With the assistance of the Riverside Sheriff’s Department, public access
to the area was blocked while members of the Technical Services Unit rendered
the package safe.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic was restricted for several hours on Lime Street
between 10th and 12th. The County Administrative Center remained open during
this incident and public services were not interrupted. Street closures were
removed and officers cleared at 10:30 AM.
