Man Shot While Driving
Riverside, Ca- On June 30, 2006, at approximately 6:49 PM, the Riverside Police Department
received several calls of shots heard in the area of Fairview Avenue and Bronson Way. Officers responded
and found a gunshot victim at the intersection of Bronson Way and Elsinore Road. The victim was
transported by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital where he was admitted for emergency medical
treatment for his injury. His condition is not considered life threatening although he will remain
in the hospital for observation.
According to the victim, he and another driver were involved in a disagreement over some type of right
of way violation. The suspect fired several shots into the victim’s car and fled the scene. He was
gone from the area by the time officers began arriving. The victim provided information to the officers
that led them to a house in Palm Desert where they contacted and detained 22-year-old Tyhir Duvall of
Palm Desert. Detectives are following up on several leads and the investigation is continuing. Duvall
was arrested for Attempted Murder and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is urged to contact Detective Ron Sanfilippo
at (951) 353-7105.
