Riverside Police Job Fair: June 17
Riverside, Ca- The Riverside Police Depart wants you – “the Best of the Best” – for available positions as Police
Officers, Public Safety Dispatchers, Cadets and Crossing Guards. The RPD recruiting team will be answering questions and
processing applications at RPD’s first-ever Job Fair, Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Bordwell Park, 2008
Martin Luther King Blvd., in Riverside.
The Job Fair is the latest step in Riverside PD’s aggressive efforts to seek out the best possible candidates for various
police positions during a time of growth in the City of Riverside. “The Riverside Police Department is committed to
recruiting the best of the best, to providing applicants with an expedited but thorough path through careful screening
to a job offer, and to our goal of having our department look more and more like the community we serve,” said Chief of
Police Russ Leach.
Riverside PD offers very competitive compensation to qualified applicants, as well as a $5,000 signing bonus to current
law enforcement officers who make a lateral transfer to RPD. On-site testing will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the
park.
The Job Fair will include police unit demonstrations by specially-trained K9 unit dogs, the SWAT team, Aviation helicopter
and Bike Team. There will also be face painting and a jumper tent, for a fun, family-friendly event.
