Bar Fight Results in Injury to Several Patrons

Riverside, Ca- At approximately 11:47 pm, the Riverside Police Department Dispatch Center received an emergency call from a patron who was inside of the Events Sports Bar, which is located at 10560 Magnolia Avenue. The patron reported that there was a large violent fight occurring inside of the bar involving numerous patrons.

Police officers quickly arrived and encountered a large crowd of agitated patrons in the bar parking lot. Several patrons, two of whom had visible head injuries, were detained outside as they were attempting to flee the location. Two additional patrons were subsequently located inside of the bar who were unconscious and suffering from serious injuries to their heads.

American Medical Response Paramedics responded and transported three patrons to local area hospitals where they are being treated for serious head injuries. They are listed in serious condition. Other participants were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police detectives responded to assist in the investigation and process the scene for evidence. Numerous participants were detained and are currently being questioned by police detectives. The investigation is currently ongoing.
