Police Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect

Riverside, Ca- On Friday February 23, 2007 at 8:42 P.M. Riverside Police Officers responded to the 6400 block of Rexford Street after receiving a 911 call of a shooting that had just occurred Upon arrival, they found a 33 year-old Colton man lying in a front yard who had been shot in the neck. He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where hes listed in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Witnesses reported hearing a verbal argument between the two men just prior to hearing gunfire. They identified the suspect as 32 year-old Donald Darrell King of Riverside. He is described as an African American male, 6-01 tall, and weighs 300 pounds. King fled the scene in a silver 2004 Hyundai.

Officers from the Parole and Corrections Team (PACT) located King at an apartment in the 7400 block of Mt. Vernon Street in Riverside, where he was taken into custody without incident.
