Homicide: man struck by vehicle

Riverside, Ca- Riverside Police dispatch received a call Tuesday night reporting a man run over by a vehicle at 9:21 p.m., at the parking lot of the McDonalds restaurant at University and Eucalyptus avenues.

Initial investigation indicates that the victim argued with the suspect before the suspect jumped into a nearby vehicle, struck the victim with the car, which was then abandoned at the scene. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, fled on foot. The victim, a 33-year-old black male, was pronounced dead at the scene by Riverside Fire Department paramedics, at 9:35 p.m.
