Joseph Lecture - Alzheimer's Panel of Experts

Wednesday, October 9, 2019

We are pleased to announce the 34th Annual Dr. Robert H. Joseph Memorial Dinner and Lecture, which will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at California Baptist University’s Health & Science Campus.
We are honored to have several experts from our community speaking on a panel, so that our audience has access to resources andthe latest research to care for patients in our community, which is the best way to address different aspects of the disease. Our audience will have access to local community resources to educate them on what is available to assist in caring for their loved ones and themselves as caretakers.
Alzheimer’s disease is currently ranked as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but recent estimates indicate that the disorder may rank third, just behind heart disease and cancer, as a cause of death for older people.
Alzheimer’s continues to be a topic for our annual lecture because of its overall effects on our health and daily life. As the rise in cases of Alzheimer’s is reported and families strive to care for their loved ones, it has become increasingly important to focus on this subject. Between now and 2050, more than 28 million baby boomers in the United States will develop Alzheimer’s disease, the study found. About 10 million of them will be living with Alzheimer’s disease in 2040, which is double the total number of U.S. adults living with Alzheimer’s right now.
Prevention and treatment needs to become more of a priority. Families will desire to care for their loved ones in their homes which brings a new dynamic to families. Support and an understanding of this disease is needed, so we can give the best possible care to our family members. Join us to learn from experts in this field.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation, thank you for your generous support of this 34th Annual Dr. Robert H. Joseph Memorial Lecture. We look forward to seeing you at the lecture, if you are able to attend.
