Join Dr. Mayra A. Lara of The Education Trust-West for a conversation about education equity in California. This session will include a discussion of pressing issues students and families face, progress the state has made; and the important role research, policy, and advocacy play in generating change. Participants will have an opportunity to think through the important role young people play in movement building and what it means to have a career in education advocacy.
