Description

Join comic book artist and author Yumi Sakugawa for a guided meditation creativity workshop where participants will learn how to meditate, engage in powerful visualization exercises for releasing creative blocks, and invite their artistic demons for a cup of healing tea. As this workshop is geared towards writers and artists of underrepresented communities, participants will also get in touch with the specific inner blocks that come from being underrepresented and marginalized, and use those very blocks as fuel for inspiration and liberating one's unique creative vision. No prior meditation experience necessary, all levels welcome!

This event will be held on March 17, 2019 starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Life Arts Center. The Life Arts Center is located at 3485 University Ave, Riverside, California 92507.

Spaces are limited. To reserve a spot, please email inlandialitlaureate@gmail.com.

Yumi Sakugawa is an Ignatz Awards nominated comic book artist and the author of I Think I Am in Friend-Love With You and Your Illustrated Guide to Becoming One With The Universe.
