Fiscal Impact if Measure A is not approved on June 4th
The Riverside City Council was presented with $6.7 million in proposed cuts to General Fund
services if Measure A is not approved by voter this June. Without Measure A, 79 positions
would be eliminated, including 9 police officers and 12 firefighters.

Riverside Juneteenth Celebration
The 13th Annual Riverside Juneteenth Celebration will be held this Saturday, June 1st at
Bordwell Park-Stratton Community Center from noon – 6 p.m. This free family
festival will feature live entertainment, health and historical information,
along with great food and merchandise vendors.

USA Water Polo Masters Nationals
The Riverside Sports Commission is pleased to announce that Riverside has been selected
as the host city for the USA Water Polo Masters National Championships and Masters Festival.
Competitors will soon take advantage of the beautiful new and newly renovated aquatics facilities
that Riverside has to offer! Approximately 74 Masters water polo teams including
850 athletes are scheduled to arrive in Riverside on June 7th and will be using the Riverside
Aquatics Complex as their home base through Sunday, June 9th.
