Current Situation
On January 9th, 2025, at 4:08 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a Target Hazard response to the area of 14th Street X Commerce for a vegetation fire that was located on the property of 3080 12th Street at SOLAR Max. Battalion 1 arrived on scene an reported an outside vegetation fire extending into the storage area of cargo containers on the 14th Street Side of SOLAR Max.
Firefighters were assigned to fire control in the storage yard of SOLAR Max. The fire had extended into two 45’ shipping cargo containers fully of cardboard cat litter disposal boxes. RPD assisted with traffic control of 14th Street. The on-duty investigator responded and conducted the investigation which remains under investigation.
Upon conclusion of the incident, the property was turned over to SOLAR Max. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
