(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On Wednesday May 12th at 11:17 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department along with Airport personnel were dispatched to the Riverside Municipal Airport for a private jet reporting trouble with a cracked windshield on approach to the airport.  The aircraft experienced a windshield crack at 38,000 feet on their final leg to the Riverside Airport and rapidly descended below 10,000 out of precaution. The aircraft did not loose pressurization.  The fire department, airport personnel and AMR responded to the airport as the aircraft performed an emergency landing.

The aircraft landed safely.  The aircrew along with six passengers were not injured.
