Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with injuries in the 6100 Block of Arlington. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single vehicle with major damage entangled with the Stater Bros sign to the front of the complex. The vehicle had a total of four patients in the passenger vehicle and an additional person was seen leaving the scene from bystanders. The driver of the vehicle was in critical condition and the other three patients were in moderate condition. The patients were extricated utilizing the jaws of life. Four ambulance were utilized to transport the patients to area hospitals.
Building and Safety was requested to evaluate the Stater Bros sign as it was damaged in the accident.
Public utilities was request to evaluate the a nearby light standard and it was damaged.
The scene was left to RPD for further investigation.
