    Ward 1 Edwards / Residential Structure Fire / 2500 Block of Atlanta / RIV #20-027181

    On Friday September 18, 2020 at 12:33 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a first alarm residential structure fire at the Santiago Estates Mobile Home Park in the 2500 Block of Atlanta.  Firefighters arrived to discover a double wide residential mobile home with fire and smoke showing.  Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and contained the fire to the mobile home with no threat to exposures.  Firefighters conducted a primary search and no residents or pets were found in the structure.  Firefighters discovered two areas of origin of the fire.  There were no residents at home at the time the fire started.  An arson investigation was conducted by the investigators.  The fire cause is still under investigation and appears to be suspicious in nature.  The content loss is estimated at $30,000.  Loss to the structure estimated $25,000 with a save of $150,000. 

    There were two displaced adults and two displaced children.  Red Cross was providing services to the displaced residents.  A California Fire Foundation Save Card was issued to the residents.  There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.  A total of 21 firefighters, three arson investigators and one chief officer responded to the incident.
