Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 5100 block of Bushnell Avenue. The first arriving units reported a 2000 square foot 2-story residence located on a hill with a long driveway. The first arriving Company Officer reported the structure to be well involved. The first arriving Company Officer requested 2 additional engines, and 2 AMR ambulances. One female subject was transported to an area hospital with an Asthma Attack. Ember cast from the fire ignited trees on Hedrick street and 2 engines were sent to that location and extinguished that portion of the fire and returned to the main fire to assist with the rehabilitation of the first arriving crews. The fires were brought under control within 2 hours of the first arriving crew. Extensive mop up was required due to the amount of damage sustained by the structure.
