Current Situation
On June 4th, 2022, at 7:25 PM, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4000 block of Bushnell St. The first arriving unit on scene reported a working fire in a one-story house. There was heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the building. Fire department crews made an aggressive attack on the fire and completed a primary search of the house. The fire was contained to the building of origin and placed under control at 8:15 PM. Six residents were displaced from the residence due to the fire, smoke, and water damage. Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents with short term housing. One firefighter received minor injuries related to the incident. There were not any civilian injuries.
Fire department arson investigators were on scene and the fire’s cause is under investigation.
