Current Situation
On July 19th, 2021, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 9200 block of Cypress Ave. The first due engine arrived on scene and reported a working residential structure fire with heavy smoke and fire inside a residence. The crew initiated an attack on the fire while an AMR ambulance crew provided care for one patient outside the residence. The patient was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
As additional crews arrived, we were able to complete a search of the residence and confirm there not any additional people inside the house. The fire was placed under control at 10:10 A.M. The fire was contained to the house of origin. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance for two residents. Additionally, a SAVE card has been issued from the fire department. There were not any firefighter injuries reported.
