Current Situation
At 0635 the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at a multi-unit apartment complex. The first arriving unit found a working fire in the bedroom of a bottom floor apartment. Crews initiated fire attack and were able to contain the fire to the room of origin. There was extensive damage to the apartment from a residential sprinkler head that activated as a result of the fire. A total of four people were displaced by the fire, though there were no injuries. The Red Cross was called to assist with the displaced individuals. The loss was estimated at $35000 with a save of $1,000,000. The cause of the fire was unintentional as a result of a candle burning in the residence.
