Current Situation
At 1543 on May 23rd the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 10400 Block of Cypress. The first arriving engine found a large out building well involved with fire in the back yard of the residence. The fire was rapidly contained to the one building, with minimal damage to the surrounding area. A resident of the home was able to provide arson investigators with security footage and a suspect was identified. That individual was transported to ETS for a psychiatric evaluation by the Riverside Police Department. The building and its contents were a total loss, but the remaining home and other property were saved.
