The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Market and Fairmount. Upon arrival, Riverside Firefighters found a 2 vehicle head-on collision with 3 patients, including one patient trapped. The officer in charge immediately requested a truck company, 3 ambulances, and a Chief Officer to the scene. Another Engine Company was clearing a call nearby and responded to assist. Firefighters from the Truck Company used extrication tools to cut the damaged vehicle away from a 16 year old critically injured female driver, while firefighters worked with AMR Ambulance to treat 2 other females, one critical, and one moderate, aged 16 and mid-thirties. All three patients were transported to area hospitals.
