Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of vegetation on fire at the WB 91 at the Adams exit. The first arriving engine reported a fire in the ivy covering the sound wall. The total length involved was approximately 300' and embers were casting into the neighborhood to the North. Additional resources were requested, and fire suppression operations took place on both sides of the wall. The area required extensive overhaul to ensure the fire was completely out. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there was no property damage. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported.
