(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On August 16th, at 2237 hours, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 3400 block of Glasgow Circle.  The first arriving unit found a working garage fire with extension into the living quarters and an aggressive fire attack was initiated.  The home sustained major damage, as the fire spread into the attic space and the living area. The residents were able to safely exit the home along with a few pets.  There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.  The Red Cross assisted with locating temporary housing for the displaced family.
