    At 3:22 P.M. on August 8th, 2023, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire occurring in the 5500 block of Harold Street. The fire had originated in a garage and had spread into the attic space. Firefighting crews swiftly engaged the fire, successfully extinguishing it and preventing its extension into the main section of the residence. While the garage was identified as the point of origin by Arson Investigators, the exact cause of the fire remained undetermined. One individual residing in the house received medical treatment and was subsequently transported. Approximately 10% of the building sustained damage, leading to an estimated financial loss of $42,000.

     

    The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently on scene of a residential structure fire in the 5500 Block of Harold St.  A first alarm assignment is currently assigned along with one AMR Ambulance for a possible civilian smoke inhalation patient.  Fire Department paramedics and AMR are currently treating the patient.  The fire is under investigation.
