    On Wednesday June 10, 2020 at 7:54 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm assignment to the 9100 Block of Hawthorne for reports of a fully involved garage fire and possibly three residents trapped. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a detached garage fully involved with two immediate exposures of two residential houses. Two additional engine companies and one AMR unit were also requested to the incident. Firefighters made an aggressive fire attack hold the fire to the garage. Firefighters also performed a primary and secondary search of both residential houses with no victims located or trapped. The two residential houses did have fire damage to the exterior. The cause of the fire was probable electrical, but undetermined after investigation. The combined loss was estimated at $150,000 with a combined save of $800,000. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. Two baby kittens were found near the garage and Riverside County Animal control responded to the incident. Riverside Public Utilities responded to the incident to assist with the electrical. The property was released to the homeowner.
