Current Situation
On Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 7:32 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 9800 Block of Indiana for multiple reports of a fire inside of a commercial strip mall.
Firefighters arrived on scene to discover a large commercial strip mall and we were being flagged down by multiple bystanders. Firefighters performed high density forcible entry through a metal roll up door. Firefighters were able to extinguish a small fire in the suite. The fire was held to the suite with smoke entering into Suite #21, #22, #23. The structure was ventilated. A total of 17 firefighters and one chief officer responded to the incident. On-Duty investigators performed an investigation. The cause is still under investigation.
There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. Estimated damage is at $10,000 and content loss is estimated at $50,000. The save to the structure is estimated at $2,000,000.
