Current Situation
On December 17, 2021, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded a response to a trash truck fire at Iowa X University. Firefighters arrived to find the cab of a Burtec Trash Truck on fire. The fire was contained to the motor and cab of the vehicle. The fire did not extend into the trash compartment of the trash truck. Iowa was closed in both directions during the duration of the fire. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
