Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a water heater closet at a multi-family triplex apartment complex in the 4600 Block of Jurupa Avenue. The first due Engine Company reported light smoke coming from a single-story apartment on Jurupa Avenue. Riverside City Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and were able to quickly knockdown the fire in a water heater closet located in the hallway. The door of the closet was closed, preventing the fire from growing much larger. Riverside City Firefighters ventilated the structure and vacuumed up the water used to extinguish the fire. The 68-year-old female tenant was displaced by the fire but was able to stay with her sister. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries during the incident.
