Final Report:
On March 7, 2022 at 8:14 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 5400 Block of Jurupa Ave for reports of a out-building on fire in the backyard to the rear of the residence with the back yard on fire of a residence in the 5400 Block of Mountain Ave. Two additional engine companies were requested to the incident along with an AMR Ambulance for a possible civilian injury. Firefighters contained the fire to the backyard of both residences. No Residential structures were damaged.
The fire originated in the out-building to the rear of the property of the residence in the 5400 Block of Jurupa Ave. The civilian denied medical treatment and care and AMR was released from the incident.
There were no firefighter injuries. The fire cause was undetermined after investigation.
The save is estimated at $1,500,000 with a lost estimated at $100,000
Initial Report:
The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently on scene of the Jurupa Incident. Fire department crews arrived on scene and found a working fire in a large out building behind the residence. The fire was threatening adjacent properties and has now been placed under control. There is one civilian injury reported. Fire department crews will remain on scene for approximately two hours for mop and overhaul.
