Current Situation

The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently responding to an active gas leak situation at the parking lot of 2995 Iowa Avenue, caused by ongoing construction work. Evacuations of affected businesses are already underway. Assistance has been requested from the Southern California Gas Company and the Riverside Police Department (RPD). Leading the incident is Battalion 1 Vanderhhorst as the Incident Commander, and there are currently two Chiefs, three Engines, one Truck, and three overhead personnel present on the scene.
