    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 11900 Block of Quantico Dr, in Riverside CA.  The first arriving engine company reported a working fire in a single-story home.  Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack while searching for victims.  The resident was home at the time of the fire but had safely escaped with her 6-year-old son prior to the arrival of fire units.  Firefighters placed the fire under control and performed salvage and overhaul operations to minimize damage to the homeowner’s belongings.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, however, it appeared to originate from the exterior of the home and then extended into the interior.  The fire also caused damaged to a fence and patio furniture in the neighbouring home’s back yard. There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters.  A Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency's (SAVE) debit card was issued to the homeowner.  2 adults and 3 children were displaced.
