Current Situation
On December 5th, 2024, at 2:44 p.m., the City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 8300 block of Randloph St. The first arriving unit reported a moderate sized fire burning behind the house with an immediate threat to adjacent properties. Two additional engine companies were requested due to the fire burning between two structures with down power lines. Riverside Public Utilities responded to the incident to mitigate the down powerline.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire and kept it contained to the area of origin. The fire was placed under control at 1500 hours. A dedicated arson investigator performed an investigation. The cause of the fire was undetermined after investigation.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
