    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a rescue with one victim trapped under a fallen 100 foot tall pine tree. The 73 year old male was clearing his property on his John Deer tractor and the tree uprooted landing on his tractor and pinning him inside. The technical rescue team and an addition truck and engine responded to the incident. We were able to tunnel through the limbs of the tree to gain access to the patient with chain saws and rotary saw. We provided advanced medical care while the other crews were working to disentangle to tree from the tractor and patient area.

Once the area was cleared the patient was removed and loaded onto AMR's gurney for transport to a local area hospital. E3 FF/PM continued patient care to the hospital.

Public works trees division responded to evaluate the tree.
