At 0615 the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the 7400 block of Santa Rosa Way for a reported structure fire in a single family residence.  Engine 10 arrived on scene and reported smoke and fire showing from 2 rooms of a residence with occupants exiting the structure. Crews initiated a rapid and aggressive fire attack, holding the fire to the room or origin.  A primary search of the structure was completed in conjunction with the fire attack, and one individual was located in the bathroom.  This individual was assisted out of the residence by fire crews with no reported injuries.  One occupant of the home sustained a minor injury and was treated by Fire Department personnel and AMR.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. 

There were no firefighter injuries.  A City of Riverside Fire Department investigator responded to assist with the cause and origin of the fire.  A total of 8 occupants of the home were displaced as a result of the fire.  The Red Cross was contacted in order to assist the displaced occupants.  The cooperating agencies involved were the City of Riverside Fire Department, the Riverside Police Department, AMR Riverside, and the Red Cross.
