    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at a funeral home in the 9600 Block of Magnolia.  The first engine on scene reported heavy smoke and fire from a single-story building at the rear of the main, two-story structure.  The two buildings were attached and it appeared fire had spread to the main structure.   A second alarm was requested.  Units engaged in aggressive interior fire attack and contained the fire to the rear portion.  The main building received extensive smoke damage.  Salvage and overhaul operations were conducted to minimize damage.  Fire investigators are currently on scene determining the cause of the fire.  There were no reported injuries.
