(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the attached garage of a residential home.  Upon arrival, the first arriving engine company reported a working fire in the garage.  An aggressive interior attack was initiated, and the fire was quickly placed under control.  The cause of the fire was determined to be a failure of a refrigerator motor.  The fire had spread to a clothes washing machine as well as the wall.  The four adult residents were able to safely escape the house prior to the arrival of fire personnel.  The fire was area was overhauled and the building was turned back over to the homeowner.  There were no injuries reported.
