    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of brush on fire in the area of Doolittle, near Hole Lake.  The first arriving reported a working brush fire burning in heavy fuel.  Units made access and deployed hose lines to the fire area.  Forward progress was stopped, and extensive overhaul was required due to a large amount of trash from homeless activity.  Units remained on scene for 2 hours and worked the area until completely cooled.  The cause was undetermined after investigation, however, there were numerous homeless individuals in the area.  There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
