Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle versus a motorcycle at the intersection of Adams and Camelia. Based on information coming in from fire dispatch regarding the severity of the collision, an additional rescue squad and a Battalion Chief was dispatched to respond with 1 Engine Company and a AMR Ambulance. The first due Engine Company arrived to find a motorcycle with two riders down in the street. City of Riverside firefighters began assessing a male and a female patient, both riders of the motorcycle. The female patient, believed to be in her late teens or early twenties, was dead at the scene. The male patient, believed to be in his twenties was suffering from critical injuries. He was treated by Riverside firefighter paramedics, as well as personnel from AMR Ambulance. The male patient was transported in critical condition to an area hospital. The motorcycle appeared to have been struck from behind by another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was un-injured, and remained at the scene.
