    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the west bound 91 freeway east of La Sierra. When the 1st due Engine Company arrived, they found several vehicles blocking the freeway with a total of five patients, with one patient trapped. A truck company was called to the scene to extricate the trapped patient from their vehicle. Two patients were removed from the vehicle, both in critical condition. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment. 3 other patients were also treated and transported off the scene to area hospitals. The collision forced the closure of the west bound 91 freeway for over an hour.
