    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported tree fire on the 4800 block of Montgomery St.  The first arriving Fire Department unit reported that the fire had spread to the eves of the structure and that the fire was established in the attic space of the home.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and salvage operations were completed minimizing damage to both the home and the contents of the home.  There were 3 adults displaced by the fire due to the gas meter and electrical systems being impacted by the fire. The Red Cross was contacted and is assisting with the needs of the family.  The home was left to be secured by the owner and the occupants.

There was a single patient that was an occupant in the home transported to a local hospital, this patient’s symptoms were only mildly related to the fire. The patient was extricated by a Riverside Police officer whom arrived on scene prior to any Fire Department units.
