The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival of the first in engine company they found a small single story single family dwelling with light smoke showing from the attic area. After the Investigation we found there was a small fire in the attic over the hallway. Crews were able to stop the spread of the fire and extinguish the fire; checked for fire extension and overalled the structure. Red Cross was offered to the occupant but he denied the assistance.

The investigation revealed that the fire started in the attic area. The cause was accidental electrical possibly due to an overloaded circuit. The electrical panel had two tripped breakers. Two refrigerators were plugged into one outlet with an extension cord.
