The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of structure fire. Upon arrival, all occupants had left the structure. There was light wispy smoke showing from the gables of the single story single family dwelling. Crews were able to open the roof and the ceiling. We found a smoldering fire inside the attic with blown-in insulation. Several rafters were burned almost al the way through. We provided 100% salvage to the owners belongings. The fire was extinguished.

The investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was electrical in nature. Red Cross was provided to the homeowner for two adults, four children and two dogs.

Once the fire was extinguished, the area was overalled and mopped up, the structure was returned over to the owner.

There were no injuries during this incident.
