Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of structure fire at a commercial building. Upon arrival to the 600,000 square foot building, light smoke was showing from the Bravo Charlie corner. The on scene commercial fire sprinklers were activated and the water gong was sounding. We were met with a working fire inside the structure. This building is known for housing high piles of foam and mattress type material. The fire was held in check by the fire sprinkler system and the workers used the house hose line in an attempt to extinguish the fire. Fire crews initiated fire attack and ensured the fire was extinguished. The fire sprinkler was shut down and all the smoke was removed from the structure. All workers were accounted for. The fire investigation revealed that the fire started due to an unknown cause . There is approximately $10,000 in structural damage.
No firefighters were injured.
