    On Monday July 12th at 0115 the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a traffic collision with a possible entrapment in the 4400 block of Tyler Street.  The first arriving unit found two vehicles with major damage and one occupant requiring extrication as a result of a head-on traffic collision.  The patient was extricated by truck 2 and was transported to the hospital in critical condition by AMR with two firefighters assisting.  The occupant of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The City of Riverside Police Department's Major Accident Investigation team arrived and assumed control of the scene.
