    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a vegetation fire near the entrance to the bike bath at the old Boy Scout area. Upon arrival, there were multiple trees burning with a direct exposure to other vegetation and more palm trees. The fire was extinguished and an extensive overhaul ensued due the height of the trees and  amount of vegetation that was on fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and will continue into tomorrow. Overall, approximately 30 trees burn in an area lass than .25 of an acre.

Once the overhaul was completed crews picked up their hose and cleared the scene.
