Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department is on scene of a structure fire in the 1400 block of Main St. Battalion 1 is in command of the Main St. incident. AMR has been requested for one patient with unknown injuries. There are not any firefighter injuries reported.

On Sunday January 9, 2022 at 12:57 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 1400 Block of Main Street for reports of a garage fire. Firefighters arrived to discover contents on fire within the garage of a two-story apartment complex. Firefighters extinguished the fire and there was no extension into the apartments from the garage. The resident attempted to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher and had smoke inhalation. The resident was treated on scene by Firefighter/Paramedics and transported by AMR to a local area hospital in minor condition.
The cause of the fire was undetermined after investigation, but probable cause was improper discarded cigarette.
