Current Situation
The City of Riverside responded to a reported vegetation fire in the area or Indian Hill Dr. and the Boys Scout Camp. The first arriving units reported a working fire in the Boys Scout Camp with structures threatened . Cal Fire had sent a full wildland response to the area including numerous engines, and both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. The aircraft was cancelled immediately after the first Chief Officer arrived on scene. The remaining units were employed to confine the fire and protect structures that were immediately threatened. The Cal-Fire units were released as opportunities presented after the initial attack phase of the fire ended. Riverside City units remained on scene to completely mop up the fire. The fire was left in a 100% mop up condition with a scratch line around the entire fire footprint. There was no damage noted to the homes in the area nor any firefighter or civilian injuries.
