Current Situation
On July 28, 2022, at 1:11 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to the 1400 Block of Everton for reports of a residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a kitchen well involved in a townhome condo. Firefighter performed fire attack and extinguished the fire in the kitchen. The structure was ventilated along with the adjoining townhome that was filled with smoke due to their windows being open.
A civilian form the adjoining townhome was assessed on scene by Fire Department Paramedics who had a complaint of difficulty breathing. The civilian was treated and released on scene.
The probable fire cause was accidental after a preliminary investigation.
The loss is estimated at $40,000 with a save of $450,000.
There were no other civilian or firefighter injuries.
There were two displaced adult males who refused Red Cross services and were seeking shelter with family.
