    Final Update

At 4:56 pm on November 25th, the City of Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 8568 Indiana Avenue, marking the same location as a fire the previous day. Upon arrival, initial crews observed a small abandoned one-story home fully engulfed in flames. Given the compromised condition of the structure and the intensity of the fire, a defensive fire attack strategy was employed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent properties.

The complexity of the fire attack escalated when the electrical feed to the home was compromised, resulting in live electrical lines that hindered firefighter access. Despite these challenges, firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, preventing any damage to neighboring properties. A thorough search of the building confirmed the absence of any occupants.

Riverside Public Utilities and the Riverside Police Department assisted with securing utilities and manage traffic control. The Riverside Fire Department Arson Task Force is actively investigating potential arson-related suspects. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries among civilians or firefighters during the incident.

On November 25th at 4:56 pm, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire near Indiana and Bernard.  Fire department crews arrived on scene and found a working fire in a vacant and abandoned one-story house.  Indiana command was established, and crews quickly began a defensive attack on the fire.  Firefighters were able to check the interior of the house and confirmed there were not any people inside.  Indiana Ave is currently closed in both directions.  The commitment time for resources is approximately 90 minutes.  Currently there are not any civilian or firefighter injuries reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
