Current Situation
Final Update: All resources have been released from the incident. The location of the fire was a homeless encampment in the Old Boy Scout Camp. Fire Investigators will be following up in the morning to determine the cause. There are no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently on scene of a vegetation fire in the area known as the Old Boy Scout camp. It is located North of Mission Inn between there and Fairmount Park. The first arriving units found a quarter acre fire burning in very heavy vegetation. Fire crews are making access to the fire. Commitment time for units on scene is 1-2 hours. Battalion 1 Hopkins is the River Bottom Incident Commander.
